I searched and searched for a storage ottoman/bench just like this and was very pleased when I got it! This bench is the perfect size (larger than the little ottoman ones they sell in stores – this is more the size of a bench), it is made with nice micro-fiber in chocolate brown that goes with just about anything, has lots of room for stoarage, and appears to be well made. We don’t really use it as a place to sit, so I can’t comment on the durability of the seat. We got it to go in our living room to put my 7 month old daughter’s toys in, because they were beginning to take over. The hinge is slightly springy, so the lid opens effortlessly and does not fall shut (which will be perfect for my daughter to be able to get out toys and put them away by herself when she gets a little older, and I won’t have to worry about her crushing her little fingers!) Also – the way the lid is hinged allows you to put the bench right up against the wall, without the lid bumping the wall. Overall, it was a little more than I was hoping to pay for something like this, but it is perfect, perfect, perfect! Definately recommended.
